I am back again to complete The Mount Everest Challenge and climb The Mount 38 times in 50 days.
This year Good Neighbour is the fantastic local Charity that will benefit from the funds raised. They provided practical opportunities for people to support one another so that lives and neighbourhoods are transformed. There are five ways they do this: Food Rescue, Projects, Community Gardens, Kitchen and Whanau Care.
Along with the mental and physical health benefits I know this challenge brings, My Dad is my inspiration this year. We lost Dad unexpectedly last year to a heart attack, just days before his 61st Birthday. Three years ago when we did the challenge, he smashed out a crazy 224 climbs in the 50 days. But that was Dad, he gave it his all and was the most humble and giving man. If he could help someone, he would. I plan to take a page out his book and help when and where I can, starting with doing this challenge in his memory.

Climb 38 done and dusted!
Very delayed update 🙈 But last Saturday I completed the last climb with the amazing support of Jamie and the kids, Mum, Paula, brother Jamie and Cat and the kiddies and some of Rent a Crowd aka the Hatwell Family. Favourite Aunties, Uncles and Fuzzies (our lingo for favourite cousins) travelled from all over to come and do a climb in support.
Special guest appearance was with King of the mountain - Dad. Tears flowed and memories were relayed while we took Dad (Poppas angel dust to Max) with us.
In perfect timing we had 3 airforce planes jet past at what felt like eye level as we hit the level part after the 3 sets of big/hard stairs. Perfect timing and viewing and a salute for Dad I reakon.
Super Proud of Max and Reid too, they smashed out the climb (plan had been for them to go slowly so I could just cruise with Lucas on the back!), may have been partly to do with the bribe of lollipops at the top.
Was a very special last climb with some very special people, I truely am so blessed to have the family I do. I am also very blessed to have all of you, thank you for following along and your generous donations, I'm so lucky to have you all in my life. I'm speechless as to how much we have raised and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. If I can ever help you in anyway please just sing out!!
