Canterbury Earthquake Survivors

The Christchurch earthquake has almost completely vanished from the news.

Immediately after it occurred it was all we heard about, minute by minute, word spread to all corners of the world.

But even within our own nation, it soon merged with the past. Those minute by minute mentions on the news turned into weekly mentions, turned into monthly mentions, turned into annual mentions.

It's a distant memory even for some of us here in Christchurch, awoken only with a revisit to the central city where so many buildings still lie in ruin.

However there's one group who never forget. Not for a minute. Not for a second.

Many of those left crippled, injured, homeless by the earthquake still struggle with each moment that passes.

In less than 2 weeks they'll have been fighting for over 4 years.
