I'll be walking for water this September to raise funds for Engineers Without Borders, so that they can can help communities in need.

International

Hey! So, I'll be participating in Engineers Without Border's 10Km "Walk for Water" to raise awareness about the perils of not having access to clean water; which is a pretty serious issue, considering how important clean water is to our everyday lives. Hearing stories from my parents, who were refugees about their experiences with lack of water, and other basic necessities are pretty harrowing and highlights that no person should experience it. But shockingly water scarcity is a problem that today, still affects 1 in 3 people worldwide.

What can I do you might ask? Well Engineers Without Borders is an organisation that is trying to change that statistic and help those in need! All money donated, will help fund projects that EWBNZ are undertaking in the pacific region to improve the quality of life of communities.

EWBNZ undertakes programmes that improve the quality of life in communities within New Zealand and in the South Pacific region and provides educational and development opportunities for members and communities to become more socially aware, engaged, and empowered to effect positive change.
