Fundraising for AphasiaNZ

Auckland

Since I had my stroke, it has been hard for me to talk. Knowing exactly what you want to say, but struggling to get the words out, is a daily challenge. That is why I am walking the Auckland Marathon—to raise awareness about aphasia.

For me, the AphasiaNZ Kōrero Club has been very inspiring. It is a safe place where I can practice talking with others who truly understand the struggles of aphasia. It gives people like me our confidence and community back.

Why I Need Your Help-

There are so many people out there living with aphasia who desperately need help. Sadly, AphasiaNZ receives no government or health funding. They rely entirely on donations to provide Community Aphasia Advisors, resource kits, and Kōrero Clubs that help Kiwis find their voices and re-connect with their communities. Every dollar you donate helps fund resources, support advisors, and clubs that give Kiwis their voices back.

Please sponsor my marathon walk.

Thank you so much for your support!
