Too many children are born without sight and will never see how beautiful this country is... this journey is for Blind Foundation NZ & Mark

Northland

Paul here... looking to raise awareness and raise funds to help assist everyday New Zealanders like my brother (Mark) who often struggle with what many of us take for granted... the gift of sight.

My brother is now all but legally blind and can no longer drive or easily find regular employment. Many children are born with poor or without their sight and will never get to see how beautiful this country is... I'm fortunate to be partaking on this small journey through the spectacular Southern Alps, traveling in style on the way, and getting to appreciate some of it myself. Along the way I will share what we can see, chat to the locals and raise a little funds that may be helpful for you or someone close to you.

Its organisations such as Blind Foundation here in New Zealand that help support individuals with their everyday struggles in so many ways. New Zealanders can be proud for we are a very generous nation through trialing times. My goal is for awareness of our many New Zealanders that struggle daily with living with very little or no sight, and to encourage you to "givealittle" towards making life a little easier for them. Join me and my friends on this charity ride and support us as you can.

We will be riding 50cc scooters up, down, around, across and ( if they build a tunnel ) through the Southern Alps of New Zealand.

We start at Bluff on the 30th November and make our way to Queenstown, Haast, Ross, Oxford, Tekapo, Mount Cook, Twizel, Arrowtown and then back to Bluff ending on the 7th December. It is a journey of 1800 kms with a gain in elevation of 14000 meters which we will do in 8 days.

Looking forward to meeting some of you along the way, and would love for you to help out anyway you can with donations of any kind, and sharing this page and story so you can be part of this journey too!
