Participating in Help Kiwis Fly
Canterbury
Kia ora,
Kei te pēhea koe?
I want to help the New Zealand care system change and become better for future youth.
Attending the National Foster Youth Institute Shadow Day in the U.S. will allow me to hear other people's experience in care and learn what is similar and different. Comparing our experiences together will help me to become more knowledgable and open my eyes to new ideas and see new ways for New Zealand to change.
By supporting my fundraising campaign you will be helping me to honour my commitment to raise $1000 along with my co-travelers. I plan to bring back everything I learn and share with VOYCE Whakarongo Mai's Regional Youth Council of Ōtautahi/Christchurch and the National Youth Council.
Every dollar counts. Churr Gewl! (Thank you!)
We are VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai, which stands for Voice of the Young and Care Experienced – Listen to me. We believe children and young people in care need to be heard, and at the centre of all the decisions made about them.
Goal increased to help with inflation costs 4 May 2022
Kia ora,
so many thanks to so many people for believing in me and donating to support my trip the National Foster Youth Institute Shadow Day. I can't believe it! You believed in me when I didn't. With your support I am increasing my goal so that I can help with inflation of travel costs we are faced with. Thank you to all the donors who will help me make it to the finish line!
Churr Gewl!!
