Riding from Hanmer to Kaikoura has been something I've wanted to do for a few years now, and getting to do it whilst taking part in the Tour of NZ was too good to pass up.

I'm only riding the one stage, so I plan to ride as hard as I can and leave everything on the road.

One year I will ride the whole tour, but for now I'll keep training and look forward to giving it heaps on stage 6.

As a former soldier it was a no brainer when it came to picking a charity to support while doing this, so I will also be raising money for the New Zealand Fallen Heroes Trust.
