Susan Runs For Sands

    I did it! I just finished my first ever 21km run! What an experience it was. And I'm so happy that I can give Sands over $900 to so that they can continue with the amazing work they're doing. I want to say a huge thank you to all the people who believed in me and who supported me. The last 5km were hard, but thanks to you guys I kept going!

    Only four weeks to go till the race. Last week I decided to take a bit of a rest, as my muscles felt quite tired. This week I was feeling much better so I decided to do a few nice runs.

    I did a 7.5km on Tuesday, a 11.5km on Thursday and today I managed to set a new personal record by running 18km! I have to say that the coffee I had after my run never tasted so good!

  • 15km run.... tick!!!

    Yesterday I managed to run 15km, I've never done this before! Hubby came with me on his mountain bike and he was such a big support. The last km was very hard and it seemed endless. But I did it!! What's next weeks' goal???

  • 7 weeks to go!

    Last week I managed to do 4 runs, even though we were on our wee break to Hanmer Springs. I run 7 km on Tuesday and Thursday. I loved the scenery in Hanmer, the forests, the mountains, simply stunning!

    On Saturday morning I did my long run and I managed to reach the 13km and on Sunday another 4.5km. My goal for this week was to run a total of 30km and with a total of 31.5km I nailed it! My goal for this week is to run 15km in one run, something I've never been able to do! Only 7 weeks till the race!!

    Last week I managed to do 3 runs:

    I did a 5km recovery run on Monday after the 10km on Sunday

    On Thursday evening I ran 8km with my running buddy and on Saturday morning I managed to reach 11km, which was more than I expected. I was hoping to reach 10km, but I felt okay, so ran a little bit further. A total amount of 23km this week. Next week I'm hoping to run 4 times and reach a total amount of 30km. Let's see if I can do it!
