Raising money for Gumboot Friday by attempting to break a Guinness World Record.

Wellington

Swing For Gumboot Friday is a fundraising event at Waitangi Park, Wellington on January 31st. We will be attempting to break the world record for the longest time continuously swinging on a swingset, with hourly sponsors similar to the 40 Hour Challenge fundraisers.

All proceeds will go to the Gumboot Friday Initiative of the I AM HOPE Foundation, supporting their cause with mental health education, counselling, and suicide prevention. Gumboot Friday in particular focuses on providing free, timely counselling for New Zealand youth.

We encourage you to share the event, show your support, and if you are in Wellington, come by for a chat on the day.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
