“Swing for Hugo”, uniting people to help 11-year-old Hugo Donaldson access life-saving cancer treatment overseas.

Event: Swing for Hugo – Fundraiser for Hugo Donaldson

Date: Sunday, 7 December, from 1pm

Venue: The Range 24/7 Indoor Golf, 981 Mount Eden Road, Three Kings

Goal: Raise $10,000 towards Hugo’s overseas treatment and family support.

Hugo is an 11-year-old boy bravely fighting stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. After exhausting local options, he’s been accepted into a CAR T-cell trial at Texas Children’s Hospital. While the treatment is free, associated costs total around $500,000 NZD. His family is doing everything they can, but they need community support to make this possible.

The event includes a 9-hole “Beat the Pro” challenge, mini-games, a silent auction, and food and drinks throughout the day. All proceeds go directly to Hugo’s Givealittle page. Live updates will be shared on Instagram to keep the community involved.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform.
