Sydney Marathon raising funds for The Meningitis Foundation NZ
I will be running the Sydney marathon in memory of Gareth Rowlands taken from us far too early, but will never be forgotten.

Hi, I’m Kieran and I’ll be running the Sydney Marathon 2025 raising funds for The Meningitis Foundation New Zealand. I have previously ran several marathons for charities close to my heart and the Meningitis Foundation is no exception to that.
A close family friend sadly lost their son, Gareth, to meningitis at just 16 years old. After recently speaking to them and hearing their story first hand, it has truly inspired me to choose to raise funds for such an important charity.
Early diagnostic, preventative measures and quick treatments are what the foundation strive to equip families with and it’s an honour to be a part of making that possible for those who need it the most.
The pain and suffering a marathon presents for me is a small price to pay for me if the funds I can create helps save just one life being taken by meningitis.
Any donation to this cause will be greatly appreciated not just by myself, but by everyone associated with the foundation.
