Fundraiser for Syria-Turkey earthquake

Auckland

Syria, a nation that has been plagued by tragedy over the past decade, with war, famine and a globally neglect. If such struggle was not enough, A 7.8 magnitude quake struck close to Gaziantep, near the Turkey-Syria border has left more than 37,000 people dead and thousands more injured and still counting.

Refugees and displaced people are among the most vulnerable in the aftermath of these quakes. The area already being an epicenter for humanitarian aid, with cities such as Gaziantep housing 300,000 Syrian refugees, victims of the 12 year war. However, this disaster has especially hit the most vulnerable of society, children. With thousands of fatalities, and many more injured, they face adversity such as homelessness, separation from families and poor living conditions.

These children desperately need urgent shelter, safe drinking water, and hygiene essentials while the freezing winter temperatures pose an additional challenge to their survival.

With your financial aid, and ADRA’s on-the-ground assistance, temporary housing can be accommodated for many of the children displaced, and their families in Syria. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be contributed to this to achieve tangible change in the lives of these people, desperate for global support.

Donate now, and do your part to action change.
