Taieri's Big Walk For Little Hearts

At the beginning of the year, the Taieri College Prefect group was given a goal, to leave a legacy. The best way we thought we could do this, was a legacy project. After a short while, we decided on a 24-hour walk, starting at 12 midday on Saturday 22nd of October, and finishing at 12 midday the following day. Soon we secured the Wingatui Race Course as our venue, and then we had to pick a charity. It took a lot of discussions, but we decided on Heart Kids Otago. Being a community-based school we decided that a local group, that needed the funds was our priority. So after a vote, they were chosen. We hope the money we raise can help as many little hearts keep on going as possible.
