Taking on the Mongol Derby is a massive challenge for me but nothing compared to the daily challenges that people with spinal cord damage face. CatWalk is a dynamic charity that is well known for its innovative fund raising ideas such as The Climb to Mount Everest Base Camp and this years New York Marathon.

The Mongol Derby is a personal adventure that I am undertaking. It is a 1000 km horse race through the steppes of Mongolia. To stand chance of finishing you have to balance survival skills with horsemanship, enduring the elements, unfamiliar terrain, food and semi wild horses.

Once you are selected every participant takes on the added challenge of fundraising for the charity of their choice. I have chosen CatWalk because it deals with one of the major risks of being in the Equine Industry.

Spinal Injury is something that we face each day in our industry. So we are taking on the Mongol Derby to raise funds to assist in the research for a cure for spinal cord damage.
