Taking the first steps - GUMBOOT FRIDAY
As a mama of 6 with 3 teenagers, I wanted to support a kaupapa that is important and is supporting many other teenagers in Aotearoa.
Taharoa, Waikato
Gumboot Friday is this coming Friday the 4th.
And to acknowledge and support this kaupapa, I wanted to step into November with an aim to fundraise as much putea as I can to give back to our whaanau at I AM HOPE!
WHY!
Because I have three teenagers and 3 younger tamariki soon to be. And although I try my very best to communicate openly with my tamariki, knowing there’s another service available for them to lean into brings peace to mind.
Thank you to all who are working behind the scenes.
This coming Friday I will be walking (7.7km) from one point (Paparoa) to another (Waiohipa) here in Tahaaroa along the beach in my red bands to fundraise for this kaupapa.
