Taking the Trails for Achilles
To give back to an organization that has given me so much by participating in the Tarawera Ultramarathon 20km, Achilles International NZ

I have been an athlete with Achilles International NZ since 2017. I have had so many opportunities to take part in several events all around the country, from Rotorua (Rotorua Marathon 5km and Tough Guy and Gal Challenge 6km), to Wellington (Wellington Round the Bays 6km) and several in Tauranga.
Being an Achilles athlete has changed my life. It has given me a community where I am seen as an athlete and not the weird woman who has these quirks.
To give back to an awesome organization, I will be participating in the 20km at the Tarawera Ultramarathon. This is my first trail event and my first 20km. I will need to push myself but don't I always? :)

Tauranga international Marathon 24 September 2018
On Saturday, my dad and I smashed the 6km at the Tauranga International Marathon. Good weather, a nice course and getting to have my dad by my side.
I did a 1:08:47 walk which was pretty quick.
Next event on my journey to Tarawera is the 5km at the Hamiltonn Half Marathon. Over 40 Achilles athletes are going to be participating. Happy 15th birthday Hamilton Half Marathon!
