Help change someones life by giving them a Camp Quality experience
Waikato
In March 2005 I was diagnosed with ALL ( Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) at the age of 3 and a half. I endured through 2 and a half years of treatment and in June 2007 I was given the all clear. At the age of 17 I am currently 11 years free from cancer.
When I was 7 I started going to Camp Quality who support children living with cancer. I've attended pretty much all the camps apart from maybe one or two over the course of the last 9 years. In the summer of 2017 I attended my last camp.
Baz my youth leader asked me if I wanted to do a skydive to help support one of his friends. I was absolutely speechless and pretty much squealed at the idea. I said Yes!
My skydiving companion Mel suggested that I raise money for my own charity and so I decided to choose Camp Quality as they have been the foundation of my childhood by providing me with indescribable experiences and memories that will last a life time. They not only provided me with two camps a year but also helped to shape me in to the person I am today. I thought that as a way of giving back to the people that gave so much to me I could give one camper the opportunity to be involved in this awesome camp.
It costs $2700 each year to send one camper on the summer and winter camp. The reason its so high is because the cost includes providing a one on one companion for both camps along with the companion's training. Everyone who volunteers for the charity is unpaid and the money that is raised will go towards helping the camper and companion have an awesome camp experience.
Please help me raise the money needed to give one camper the chance to have the same experience I did.
Thanks for your support

I was involved with camp quality as a camper for 9 years and would like to give back to help support the camp that helped me through my treatment.
