Team Apollo 2 is entering in the Heart Stopper Challenge!
12 children are born with heart defects every week in NZ and every year 450 open heart surgeries are performed on NZ children - during surgery a child's chest cavity is cooled down in an icy slush to slow their heart rate. This is the inspiration behind the fantastic event that is the Heart Stopper Challenge.
On October 10th we will be plunging into an icy pool for five minutes to raise as much money as we can for Heart Kids Canterbury!
We have pledged to raise $600 and any donations are much appreciated - please join us in making a real difference to Canterbury children living with a heart condition!
