Why We Race

For Lana, Hayden, and Seb, GODZONE Chapter 13 is about far more than crossing a finish line. It is an opportunity to challenge themselves physically and mentally, push beyond their comfort zones, and embrace one of New Zealand's most demanding adventure races.

For Lana, the race carries deeply personal significance. Motivated by her twin sister's breast cancer diagnosis and a milestone birthday on the horizon, GODZONE represents a chance to test her limits, make the most of every moment, and support the incredible work of Starship for Kiwi children and their families.

For Hayden, GODZONE is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He is excited to challenge himself, strengthen his teamwork skills, and explore New Zealand's spectacular backcountry, all while representing Team Starship and contributing to a cause that supports the country's national children's hospital.

For Seb, the event is about achieving something remarkable and giving back at the same time. Every step, paddle, climb, and ride is driven by the opportunity to support Starship and make a positive difference for children and families when they need it most.

Together, Lana, Hayden, and Seb are taking on GODZONE not only to challenge themselves, but to raise vital funds and awareness for Starship, turning every kilometre of the journey into something bigger than the race itself.
