I managed a 4.5 hour trail run, the leg held up well. Only a week to go until the run so no more exercise until the big day...
Leg is feeling much better, I've managed regular 10km runs and the leg wasnt hurting much.
Its been a month since the half marathon. I injured my thigh and it taken a while to recover. Regular physio and massage required. I have managed another half marathon run, a slow time but I needed the hours. I ran about 200km in April, but only managed 91 km in May.
I ran my first 1/2 marathon race today, completing in 1h 53m 8s - which beat my goal time of 2h. Pretty exhausting.
Its the second time I've run the 1/2 Marathon distance, I have to do that a few more times before the big day in June!
April was a big running month for me. I completed 204km in almost 21 hours of running. Phew.
My distances are getting longer, I ran my first long run this weekend - 2.5 hours covering 25km. I was pretty sore the next day!
Pounded out 51km this week. Adding hills to the run is really slowing me down :) Completed my first 2 hour run, legs were fairly sore after that! I'm not proud to say I've invested in a foot spa, luxurious!
My trainer has provided my plan for the next 6 weeks. Things are getting serious, I have 2 1/2 hour runs in the plan and a 1/2 marathon in early April!
Big training week, four long runs this week totaling 57km. My feet are sore!
