Driving a Well Travelled car (Banger) from AKL to Bluff for Charity

B2B 2027 is a Rotary car rally where drivers pilot their old cars the length of NZ to Bluff, raising funds for MSNZ and community projects.

Nationwide

Old cars. Big heart. Long road.

We all know a car like this — a name, a smell of its own, an odometer that quietly lies. The mechanic sighs at it. The kids are embarrassed by it. Yet every morning, it starts.

That's the spirit of Bangers to Bluff 2027. On March 9th , a fleet of gloriously unglamorous cars leaves Half Moon Bay and rattles the length of the country to Bluff.

Organised by the Rotary Half Moon Bay, it's not really about the cars. It's what a ridiculous road trip can do when a community backs it. Every dollar raised supports amongst other things:

• Multiple Sclerosis New Zealand

• Local food banks

• MenzShed

• Youth Leadership courses

There will be breakdowns, and at least one car pushed the last hundred metres by its embarrassed driver. But underneath the laughs is something real: proof you don't need anything flash to go the distance — just heart, duct tape, and people willing to chip in.

Please give what you can. Bluff is a long way away, and so is the next family needing a food parcel, the next person navigating MS, or the next young leader who just needs someone to believe in them.

A 12 Day Charity Fun Rally from Auckland to Bluff

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
