6 March 2024Made it just before 6pm into Wellington. Missed the red carpet they laid out if you were on time but the beer was sweet :-)

Speed stripes and an essential supply
27 February 2024After hopefully sorting the helmet I got onto the decorating the bike. The red trim came out good. A few days to go now and getting excited. Preparing supplies, including voltaren for pre-emptive treatment on the day, 100 mile an hour tape (25mph maybe in my case) and various tools.

Shake down ride complete
22 February 2024Took the scooter for an hour fang; went sweet. Discovered a pro, under the seat is great for keeping KFC warm (Pie warmer for the big day?). Helmet a bit tight after an hour tho so will be pulling out the spoon to sort that.

Getting ready
19 February 2024Not long to go now and getting excited. Scooter is running sweet; almost topped 45kph heading home today!
The ride is up to 196 riders today with a target of 200 and nearly $38,000 raised! My brother's '85 scooter is actually running now so will be one of the 196.
Cheers to all who have donated to this worthy cause so far. It's awesome and the support humbling. Thank you.
