I’m boxing in the Built for Battle Fight Night and raising money for the Blind Foundation. The boxing's on me, but the money's on you!
Canterbury
On the 31st of August I get to put my small body on the line for charity in my first ever boxing fight: the Built for Battle Charity Fight Night. Those who know me will appreciate how my aggressive attitude will help me attack the three two minute rounds and my natural ability at sports will let me dance around my opponent.
I have chosen my charity to be the Blind Foundation for a couple of reasons:
1. Several of my colleagues ride tandem bikes with visually impaired locals to help them enjoy what a lot of us take for granted. Funding the Blind Foundation helps activities like this become more regular and enjoyable for those that deserve it most.
2. The guide dogs are super cool
I hope to complete a few fundraising activities before the fight but in the meantime, please put aside a few minutes, go without a coffee and donate a few dollars to see me punch and to let the Blind Foundation get more funding.
I am generously being sponsored by the legends at my workplace, Holmes Solutions, a lot of whom will hopefully be there to see me suffer.
The blind foundation do some incredible things for people around the country and I have been exposed to this through my colleagues' blind tandem riding efforts through the Canterbury recreation branch. With more funding, activities like this can help people enjoy what we all take for granted.
Built for Battle, charity boxing event. 16 fighters are putting their body on the line to raise money for their chosen charity.
