Canterbury
Tim Harris is taking part in Round12's July 2016 Fight Club to fund raise for the 2017 Camp Purple in Wellington and for future research on Crohns Disease in New Zealand.
Tim's son Will has Crohn's Disease
Who is Will Harris?
14 year old Christchurch boy Will was diagnosed with Crohns over 3 years ago after undergoing a massive and very rapid weight loss: his family practically saw him shrink in front of their eyes. They didn't know what was wrong and Will has been a very strong young chap working with the specialists to stay healthy, and positive while enjoying his young life.
What is Camp Purple?
The aim of the Camp is to help young people to connect with others of their own age who have IBD, and to build confidence, independence, self-esteem, resilience and empowerment. Will absolutely loved his first camp and is practically counting down the days until the next one!
What is Crohns Disease?
a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, especially the colon and ileum, associated with ulcers and fistulae.
What can you do?
Support Tim and donate to the "Tim's Fight4Crohns" Givealittle page.
Whether it be $5 or $200 , anything you can spare would be an amazing help not only to see Will at Camp Purple 2017, but as many other young people with IBD as possible who would like to attend.
