We would just love to say a really big thank you to all our participants and donors for their support and donations to reach our target of $30,000. The difference this will make for our youth programmes is immense, and we are so grateful to be able to continue our positive mahi for young people in Clutha, Dunedin and Waitati. It was such a great day on Friday, with every participant being 'tossed' with various degrees of enthusiasm!

We will be keeping the page open for donations until the 26th of May so that you can still get whānau and friends to donate. While we have reached our target, every little bit helps to get to young people in need.

Again, thank you very much. We are so appreciative of all your support!

Over the last 48 hours, not only did we surpass $20,000, but we are now past $25,000 with more donations rolling in during the last few hours before the big day! We are just utterly overwhelmed with the generosity of the community as we race around to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow. We are SO close to reaching our goal of $30,000 and we absolutely appreciate all that you have done so far to get us this far!

Can you help us reach our target? Share and encourage throughout your networks - every little bit helps to support our youth programmes in Dunedin, Clutha and Waitaki.

Thank you again for all that you've done for us so far! We really REALLY appreciate it!

We are now officially halfway to our goal of $30,000 raised for Southern Youth Development! Thank you to all those who have donated so far - your support is invaluable to the work that we do, and we are blown away by the stories of how Southern Youth Development has helped so many people in our community. We are deeply grateful!

In these last few days of fundraising before the big day, we'd love it if you could share our campaign so that we can reach more of our community. Whether it's a particular community leader that you'd love to support, or Southern Youth Development in general, every share, like and comment helps us to reach more people. Every little bit that you can do to support us is a great service to us, and to our young people.

Thank you so much for all your support - we couldn't do this without our community!

    Kia ora e hoa mā,

We are just under 40 days to go till the big abseil for Toss the Boss! Thank you so much for your willingness to support Southern Youth Devleopment and make a real difference to the mahi we do for rakatahi/young people in our community.

We were honoured to be an organisation receiving recognition by the Minister for Youth, Willow-Jean Prime, in particular for our bikes@syd bicycle recycling programme that has been operating since 2018. You can watch the video of her answer to question 8 at parliament here below. Mention of sẏd just before the 2nd minute.

It's moments like these that remind us of the importance of the work that we do. Over 1600 rakatahi participate in our programmes, and we are not fully funded for this work. Despite this, we work on a model that ensures that rakatahi receive help and support to be the best they can be, regardless of where they are in their journey. Whether it's re-engagement with education or employment, we're there to support.

We are still getting bosses on board for this years event, so if you're on the fence about considering this opportunity - get in touch with our team today! Email events@syd.org.nz and we'll give you the lowdown.

To all our donors and participants - kā mihi nui e hoa mā. Your support makes a world of difference to our rakatahi. Please share and encourage your community to donate for the future of our youth.
