Touch community AWHI for Gumboot Friday

This year, we’re keen to make a difference for young people who need help and we're doing that by supporting Gumboot Friday.

Together as a Touch community, we’re raising funds for free youth counselling!

Gumboot Friday is a kaupapa that raises putea, so that kids and rangatahi can get free access to counselling services. All the proceeds raised during Gumboot Friday go straight to counselling for our tamariki.

Last year in New Zealand 137 young people died by suicide and it is estimated another 3,500 attempted to take their own lives. While Government agencies are doing their best, some kids are waiting up to six months to receive the counselling they so urgently need.

So we are calling on our touch community to join our Gumboot Friday team, so that our tamariki get help as soon as they need it.
