Tour Aotearoa - Taranaki Rescue Helicopter - TeamAA Alan & Andie Cycling 3000km to help save lives

The Rescue Helicopter service is only made possible by the support and generosity of organisations and individuals that recognise the value of having a dedicated Rescue Helicopter for our region. By the end of December 2020, the Rescue Helicopter had completed 287 missions, a considerable increase from the 261 missions in 2019.

It is evident our wonderful region needs the Rescue Helicopter to continue to operate. Each year the crew, of both full-time staff and dedicated volunteers, undertake many life-saving missions. With an increased demand for our service, and the fact that it costs upward of $1.6 million each year to ensure our helicopter and crew are rescue ready 24/7, 365 days a year, we need your support more than ever before.

Your contribution is helping us continue to serve the Taranaki community, and for that we are truly grateful.

Every community needs it's angels, and in Taranaki we are blessed to have the dedicated team at Taranaki Rescue Helicopter out there saving lives. In recent years two close family members have benefited from their rescue efforts, so we have chosen to fundraise for them by tackling the 3000km Tour Aotearoa cycle challenge. Starting in Cape Reinga on Feb 22 2021 and aiming to finish in Bluff in under 30 days.

100% of funds raised will go directly to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust
