MidCentral DHB's Dr Jeff Brown is ready to cut his wild lockdown hair style to support Te Aroha Noa Community Services.

Manawatu / Whanganui

It’s been a long couple of months for MidCentral District Health Board’s Dr Jeff Brown dealing with the hair-raising COVID-19 pandemic planning...

Wearing a variety of hats as Acting Chief Executive, Acting Chief Medical Officer and a Paediatrician, Dr Brown has played a key role in guiding our wonderful health workforce in the fight against COVID-19, but in that time he’s gone from being a busy bee to a frizzy bee!

Health staff have faced long hours working through new challenges and restrictions, and, like many of us in lockdown, absolutely no haircuts!

Dr Brown has put a lot of time and effort into helping our community, but he thinks we can all still give a little more to boost our community. That’s why he’s decided to let us Trim the Doc’s Lockdown Locks – for a good cause!

To help raise money for the fantastic Te Aroha Noa Community Services team in Highbury, Dr Brown is prepared to show the world his current wild style as he sits down to get a slick new ‘do and a silky smooth shave thanks to the talented team at JB6 Barber Shop in Palmerston North.

Te Aroha Noa Community Services would LOVE a contribution towards their savings for their Early Childhood Centre to buy some new equipment and kai for their tamariki.

Please, help us help our community (and Dr Brown’s hairy situation!) by making a contribution through our Give A Little page for children and whānau in Highbury.

Absolutely any and all contributions are gratefully received.

Join us on Facebook LIVE on Thursday 28 May at 12.30pm to watch the JB6 team trim Dr JB down to size.
