Getting up and out & exploring NZ using Mark Pickering's book '202 GREAT WALKS' in support of people with Parkinson's Disease

Auckland

Hi my name is Eileen-Rita Folwell and my goal for this year and this page is to start getting up and out in support of people and families affected by Parkinson's Disease.

I will be attempting every walk in Mark Pickering's book '202 GREAT WALKS' while blogging about my adventures, the challenges faced and the (hopeful) triumphant moments.

This is not a short term goal but an ongoing effort to get outside and see more of the country I call home; share some of the journeys with friends; hopefully inspire some people who may, like me, be more comfortable at home in front of the television and most importantly raise money and awareness for those affected by Parkinson's with supporters 'giving a little' with each walk. Thanks for visiting my page I hope my efforts to get up and out inspire and entertain you.

I'm inspired to do this by my fathers diagnosis in 2014 of Parkinson's Disease and my desire to lead a more active life. Hopefully I can combine the two in a way which can inspire others help support those affected by the disease
