I’m joining this event to raise money for Waipuna Hospice so they can continue supporting those affected by terminal illness or bereavement.
Bay of Plenty
Calling all superheroes in the community. It’s time to dust off your masks and capes for the Waipuna Hospice walk/run to honour, remember, and celebrate the heroes in our lives – both past and present.
In our lives, each of us has someone who holds a special place in our hearts and is looked to as a ‘hero’. The Waipuna Hospice Superhero Walk/Run encourages people to embrace their “Superhero” by celebrating and acknowledging the heroes in their lives, and walking or running in celebration and remembrance of them.
Funds raised from the Super Hero Walk/Run will go directly towards specialist palliative medical care and support services for patients and families in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty living with a chronic, incurable disease.
With a four million funding shortfall this year, it will take a super community effort to provide care and support those affected by terminal illness and bereavement. Join with me and become a hero in someone's life today.
Our wonderful step father Peter Carruthers received incredible care at the Waipuna Hospice.
Heroes Unite!!! Walk or run to honour, remember, or celebrate a hero in your life!
