Join me as I walk the 3,000km Te Araroa which spans the length of New Zealand, as I help raise awareness & donations for Blind+Low Vision NZ
Nationwide
I will be hiking my way across both New Zealand's islands, South and North, with the occasion kayak where required (and to mix things up a bit). And I will be keeping you updated along the way as I journey my way across Te Araroa, a pathway that runs the length of the picturesque country that is New Zealand.
Blind & Low Vision NZ (formally "The Blind Foundation") is New Zealand’s main provider of practical and emotional support for the 12,100 Kiwis who are blind or have low vision, enabling them to face their future with confidence.
With a vision of ‘Life without limits – Kahore e Mutunga Ki te Ora’, Blind & Low Vision staff around the country aim to enable people who are blind or have low vision to be self-reliant and live the life they choose.
Blind & Low Vision NZ equips people with the skills needed to participate fully in society. This includes support in living independently, getting around, using technology, continuing to read and communicate, being socially active and staying in or looking for work.
Blind & Low Vision NZ’s vital work helping people with sight loss is only possible thanks to the generous support of the public. To find out more about what they do, visit their website here: https://blindlowvision.org.nz
The money you donate will help fund vital practical and emotional support services to enable people to live full and independent lives, regardless of vision loss
I will be walking the full length of New Zealand for Blind & Low Vision NZ because together we can help the Blind & Low Vision staff all over New Zealand enable people who are blind or have low vision to be self-reliant and live the life they choose.
