Walk to Talk 2026 is proud to support the charity Kids in Need Waikato. Just $50 for a team entry. Join us and support our community.
Ohaupo, Waikato
Every child deserves to feel valued, safe, and supported. Yet, right here in the Waikato, hundreds of tamariki are navigating incredibly difficult circumstances. Taken from unstable environments and placed into foster care—or raised by grandparents or extended whānau—these children often arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
That is where Kids in Need Waikato steps in.
They provide personalized care packs filled with essential clothing, toiletries, shoes, and a soft toy, while also supporting the caregivers who open their homes and hearts to these vulnerable kids.
But they can't do it alone—and neither can those struggling in our community.
That is why we gather for the Walk to Talk 2026.
Over 12 continuous hours, our community takes to the track—sharing steps, stories, and meaningful conversations. Whether teams run, jog, or simply stroll, it is 12 hours dedicated to the message: You are not alone.
