$775 of $1,500 goal
Given by 6 generous donors in around 3 months

An epic 24h fundraiser raising money for Injured NZ Veterans to travel to Crete & walk the escape route that our WW2 heroes did.

Rolleston, Canterbury

In May 2023 a small group of injured front line forces and emergency service personnel will attempt to retrace the footsteps of our WW2 heroes (the 2NZEF personnel)over the evacuation path from Maleme airport to Alexandra in Crete.

Each participant is required to fundrasie $1500 for this trip of a lifetime.

One of the injured veterans has come up with an idea to really challenge himself and his team by attempting to complete the length of Crete in 24 hours either walking or biking.

The concept is: 21km walking, then 80km bike, 21km walking, 80km bike, 10km walk and 20km bike to finish the distance required.

A support team will also participate in sections of this and they will also have a goal of a significant distance to complete.

All funds will be donated to The Pilgrim Bandits New Zealand charity under Mikes name and funds will go towards the cost of the Crete 2023 team.
