Walking the length of NZ for our aspiring Tamariki

Hey I'm Matt and I've challenged myself to walk the length of New Zealand along the Te Araroa Trail, starting on the 1st March 2024. The track covers 3000 km over 3-4 months. Through this I am raising funds for Full Bellies, an emerging yet impactful charity based in Christchurch that are filling a massive void for our Tamariki.

Full Bellies provide lunches to schools that do not meet the criteria for government funding, for kids and families that are identified by the school's pastoral team that need a helping hand. The lunches provided cover a full day of nutrition, not just lunch break, and are orientated to be kid-friendly.

Full Bellies main purpose is to "eliminate the impact of hunger on children's ability to learn, participate and engage fully in their learning experience at primary school." In their two years of operation, Full Bellies have grown from providing 6 lunches a week to 860, across 14 schools in Christchurch.

I want to support and create awareness for this charity as I strongly believe that all children have the potential to achieve highly in one way or another, yet many face unnecessary barriers or situations that, as children, they have little control over.
