walking the length of gaza to fundraise for palestine
Hamilton, Waikato
since october 2023, the israeli government / IDF has killed over 30,000 civilians¹ in the gaza strip, an 'open air prison' stretching 41 short kilometers.
of those who have lost their lives, over half of those are woman and children, and UN staff, journalists, and medical staff providing aid have also been indiscriminately slaughtered². around 2,000,000 palestinians³ have also been displaced as a result of this alleged 'genocide⁴.'
inspired by our boy james harris, on saturday february 3rd, lehi and myself (jared) will be hot-boy-walking 41 kilometers (the length of the gaza strip) to fundraise for kiwi trust for palestinian children relief.
in line with the kaupapa of the gaza ceasefire pilgrimage⁵ crew, we call for:
1. enduring and sustained ceasefire.
2. immediate flow of life saving food, water, aid, fuel and humanitarian assistance.
3. release of all hostages – both the israeli hostages held by hamas – and the palestinian hostages held in the israeli prison system.
4. end of occupation so a just-peace can begin.
