Canterbury
Kia ora, we are the Payne whanau and we are wheelie trying to learn to skateboard over the month of August to raise money for Conductive Education's Wheelie fun Wheel-a-thon fundraising event.
Conductive Education here in Canterbury is an organisation that our whanau are pretty passionate about on a personal level. Three years ago, our son Leo roared into this world 15 weeks early. Leo was then referred for Early Intervention at Conductive Education. Over the 2 years that Leo attended Conductive Education we learned infant massage to support Leo with positive touch after some of the painful touch he endured in the NICU, tac-pac which is a sensory programe, gross and fine motor develoment support, support with his nasal gastric tube feeding, speech and language theray, support with behavior and a group that we could be a part of knowing it was safe, low key, nurturing and strength focused.
Conductive Education support so many babies, young children and their whanau for various reasons and we would love to be able to support Conductive Education and their fundraising event by being part of their Wheelie fun Wheel-a-thon challenge by learning to skateboard as a whanau. Thanks so much for stopping by, reading our story and supporting Conductive Education.
