Join us for Wellies for Wellness at Hagley Park on August 27th where we come together and unite for mental health awareness!
As students, we see and feel first-hand the challenges faced by young people with mental health and the need to break the stigma and for change. We have united to raise awareness and support the rangatahi of õtautahi. The general idea for the walk came from a kōrerō with Jade, the original organiser of the first gumboot walk, at a mental health workshop.
The 10 high schools around Christchurch who will be coming together for the event include:
- CHCH girls
- Hagley College
- Christ College
- Riccarton High
- Hornby High
- CHCH boys high
- Hillmorton high
- Cashmere high
- Haeata
- Rangi Ruru
