21km for the Wellington free ambulance!
Wellington
Kia ora!
My name is Michaela, I'm 19 and I live with multiple long-term health conditions and am a wheelchair user.
Because of my health I've needed the Wellington free ambulance service a few times, and the work they do is amazing. Having a free ambulance service is incredible and helps keep essential medical care for the hardest days of people's lives accessible.
They not only attend 111 calls, but also provide first aid training, work at large events (like sporting matches), and also do patient transfer services between hospitals (which I have also needed).
The WFA relies on charitable donations and so fundraisers like this one directly support the ambulance.
I've signed up do a challenge, where I need to complete 21km in 7 days (which I'll be doing in my wheelchair), and I thought it would be a great opportunity to turn it into a fundraiser for this amazing service!
Every little bit counts and donate what you can❤️
All donations will go to the wellington free ambulance!
Final Update! 9 October 2026
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated!
Unfortunately due to some personal reasons I was unable to do any more km than the 21km I set out to do (I was hoping to overachieve, but I'm still super happy with what I did do).
Im so excited that I met my goal distance regardless, and I'm so happy with the amount raised!!!

Had a procedure yesterday so was slow going today but got some help from my mum
This means I've finished the 21k but I'm hoping to keep going for the next few days and get over my target!
