Western Bay of Plenty District Council staff and the 2020 Everest challenge

    Wow – what a fantastic effort from staff – by day five of the 50-day Everest Challenge everyone is motivated and doing their bit for the TECT Rescue Helicopter and Air Ambulance

    Two new teams have been entered - The Old and the Breathless plus a solid team from the Utilities Water Team. Check our gallery for photos.

    The Building Team of six people have already completed 13 climbs (see their picture below)- Well done people !

    Gary Allis, Rachael Davie and Greer Golding have also completed three individual climbs – well done!

    Nice effort everyone.

    So far the MoreFM main Everest Challenge site has gained donations of $7829 – and our effort is all part of this!

  • Our Challenge complete

    The Everest Challenge finished on Friday and the Council team are very proud of our individual and team achievements. Nine individuals and two teams consisting of 14 staff members completed the climb. Overall we had 34 staff members on the track.

    In conquering ‘Everest’ we have raised $1882.00 for RDA – that’s fantastic!

    A big thank you to our staff and all those that have supported us and donated money.

    Over the last week and especially this weekend we have seen lots of our staff succeed in their personal and team challenges - climbing the Mount 38 times. Those that finished included;

    FYI, we still have 6 people and one team still on the Mount, these people are working hard to complete before the close off date - this Friday – give your best everyone.

  • We are going GREAT

    31 days of the 50 day challenge completed now.

    We have 24 donations with $1285.00 raised. Wow, a big thank you to all those that have donated.

    Two individuals (Louise and Adrian) and one team have finished.

    While 11 individuals and two teams are still on the Mt.

    Check out the progress board for our achievement.

    The first team home in the 'Blue Bus' were the Powerpuff Girls; Karen, Sue, Heather and Melinda.

    Our next individual challenger - Adrian W completed his 38th climb on Sunday.

    Just 24 days (well nights actually) into the challenge and its all over for Adrian. See his night pics in the photo section.

    Our first person to accomplish the 38 climb!

    Yes Louise completed ten climbs this weekend with 7 in just one day and completing the 38 climb challenge on Sunday.

    The challenge commenced on the 22 February and Louise completed the 38 in just 16 days.

    From all you workmates and on behalf of all those that have Givenalittle, a great big congratulations!
