Westpac Gore supporting Westpac chopper virtual appeal 2020
Walking the distance of New Zealand SH1 (2033km) to raise funds for rescue helicopters.

I'm taking part in Westpac's chopper appeal 2020 as a virtual volunteer. Due to Covid-19 Westpac chopper appeal ins going digital and shifting fundraising online.
The rescue helicopter plays a huge role in helping many people around New Zealand. The Rescue Helicopter provides a professional, efficient, emergency air ambulance, search and rescue service and is staffed full-time by a highly experienced flight crew consisting of pilots, paramedics and crewmen. With the help of our community, we are able to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
To do our part Westpac Gore is going to be raising funds by walking the length of New Zealand SH1 in the month of March. As a team between us we will have to walk 2033Kms. This is an average of 4-5km per a day per a person.
