Westpac helping to stop the violence

Auckland

Westpac New Zealand has joined this year's Light it Orange to help stop the violence

Over the past couple of years we have all been living with various restrictions due to covid-19. While for most of us, home has been the safest place to be, sadly for too many Kiwis, home is not safe. Shine, one of our amazing charity partners, who work to make New Zealand homes violence free, have seen a continued increase in the number of domestic violence incidents and also an increase in the level of violence being used since the beginning of the pandemic. This has continued to see demand for Shine's services to support victims of domestic violence also increase. They are seeing no signs of demand slowing down any time soon.

We want to show victims of domestic violence that they are not alone.

Please help us make a positive difference to victims of domestic violence. Let's help them get safe, stay safe and work towards a violence free life

We will help victims of domestic violence work with their Shine advocate to create safety plans, put protection orders in place, have access to critical care packs and emergency accommodation.

Please join us and become part of the solution

Thank you
