Welly High Students for Women's Homeless Shelter
We aim to raise at least $500 to assist the Wellington Homeless Women's Trust (https://www.whwt.kiwi/) in their work.

We are a Wellington High School Crime & Society Class. We are trying to raise awareness about the issues surrounding homeless women in Wellington. Currently, there is a male only night shelter across the road from our school, but no permanent night shelter for women. We will be taking part in a fundraising event in October and petitioning the City Council to provide a site for a shelter.

We are taking a social action to bring awareness and raise funds for the Wellington Homeless Women's Trust. To do this we are attending the 14 Hours Homeless event on October 13th. (http://www.14hourshomeless.org.nz/event/Wellington) We are using GiveALittle to raise funds for this event.
We are also running an on-going petition which we will present to the Wellington City Council. (http://bit.ly/2j7somH)
