Fundraising for Brain Tumour Support NZ
Nationwide
In 2012 I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor.
After an Awake Craniotomy in 2013 it was discovered to be Cancer. I had Chemotherapy and Radiation. Was given up to 1 year.
Due to a foot/leg injury ( how the Tumor was discovered) I couldn't do impact activities- as a Fitness Instructor and Nurse it changed my life a lot.
So i began cycling to Fundraise for Cancer Society and Malaghan Institute. My first event I was still on Chemo. I have cycled thousands of kilometers for various charities over the years, raising thousands of dollars.
This year I'm Fundraising for Brain Tumour Support.
It is my purpose, my therapy, pain relief, and transport. It's also kept me going for 9 years now. Over 29 October to 5 November- Brain Tumor Awareness week- i will cycle 500km. Please help me to support this cause.
Thanks for your Generosity 21 December 2022
I'd like to thank everyone who supported me for the Brain Tumour Awareness week.
I raised $750 for Brain Tumour Support NZ.
It was a Challenging week with rain, hail, extreme winds, but I pushed on through. Accomplished 563km in the end.
Wishing you all a Happy Xmas n all the Best for the New Year, Lou Curtis π΄ββοΈπ
