I am doing an 8 week boxing challenge for my mental health, to stay fit, get stronger and strengthen my fighting skills . While doing this amazing training with the best coaches, I have chosen to fundraise for Trees for Survival!
Trees for Survival provides opportunities for schoolchildren to make a practical difference to their environment through planting trees. In the process kids learn about conservation, revegetation, wetland restoration and protecting stream quality. Trees for Survival work with over 150 schools and local communities across New Zealand including in our local area: Wellsford School, Tomarata School, Pakiri School, Mahurangi College, Snells Beach School, Ahuroa School and Tauhoa School.
I loved my own experience volunteering for local tree planting events so I'm excited to support this programme where kids are learning outdoors, getting their hands dirty and being empowered to make a positive impact on their future. Trees for survival are an amazing way to invest in the future, supporting the restoration of our environment and the growth of our youth at the same time!

And I still got all my teeth!
This was certainly an experience of a life time to tick of my bucket list!
What an 8 weeks it has been!
I’m satisfyingly knackered and love sleeping past 4.45am again.
I can not thank all supporters and donations enough! I feel SO GRATEFUL!!
Having been so close to pulling out in the last 3 weeks of training, I am so overwhelmed with winning and all the wonderful reactions I've received.
Now time to fully recover from head cold, chest cold and exhausted body. Up and onwards to my next challenge... whatever that may be ;-)
