Fundraising for Cancer Society Wellington
Wellington
7 years ago we lost Mum to breast cancer. It's been a big 7 years for our whānau, with weddings, babies, and running lots of Ks. Each celebration can feel a little bittersweet with her not around, but running has helped me find peace.
Cancer touches almost every whānau in some way. The Cancer Society is here to make a tough situation a little easier, with support services, accommodation, and transport.
This year I want to use my running to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Society Wellington.
I'll be taking on a few adventures and raising awareness of the valuable work the Cancer Society does for kiwis living with cancer and their families.
Kicking things off in February, I’ll be taking on Wellington Round the Bays. I want to break my half marathon PB. That's gunna hurt!
In July I’ll be taking on the Wellington Urban Ultramarathon 62km with a twist - running the 21km and 42 distances unofficially beforehand! I’ll run through the night to arrive at the start of the 62km in time for the official start at 6:30am.
Whether you can give a little or a lot, it all helps!

That's a Wrap 1 January 2023
As 2022 drew to a close, so too did Will's Ks for Cancer. Thank you everyone for your support on this journey. I never imagined how amazing dedicating a year's worth of running to a fundraising effort could be.
Together we've raised $3,784.60 for Cancer Society Wellington which I think is pretty awesome.
Happy New Year!
Will :)
