Charity Ambassador for Mother's Helpers - raising funds to support women and their Whanau while taking on an adventure on Charity TV!
Bay of Plenty
It’s true... I have been selected to star in a ground-breaking TV show!
This award-winning television project involves me undertaking a life-changing adventure while being filmed by an international TV crew. The footage will be used as part of an inspiring TV series to screen across New Zealand in 2019.
As part of the pre-filming process I have committed to raising much-needed funds for Mothers Helper. This charity has a mission to prevent Perinatal (Antenatal and Postnatal) Depression or Anxiety from occurring and reducing the impact.
11,000 women experience Perinatal Depression/Anxiety every year. 75% won't meet the criteria for Maternal Mental Health and there are virtually no funded treatment options available beyond medication. Mothers Helper provides a holistic recovery programme where 65% of mothers attending are recovering from ANDA or PNDA, and all mothers that attend are having an average of 51% improvement in depression scores. The money raised will ensure that Mothers Helpers can intervene earlier and help more women and their Whanau to recover from perinatal depression or anxiety.
The inspiring project I have committed to combines adventure, travel, philanthropy and television. My aim is to attract a minimum of $10,000 in donations... but I need your support. To assist me in this life-changing journey (and to see me star on national TV!), please generously donate to help me achieve my fundraising goal. Thank you sincerely for your kind support.

Mother's Helpers provides services to help prevent Perinatal (Antenatal and Postnatal) Depression or Anxiety from occurring and reduces the impact. This is a personal issue for myself having been through postnatal depression without support for many years. More services are needed to support our Mama's and their Whanau.
