0800 Hungry is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation dedicated to ensuring those that are in need get fed.
0800 Hungry is a lifeline for those most vulnerable in the Canterbury community. One delivery will feed an entire family for a week and every individual and family is treated with the utmost respect. We all hit bumps in the road and our no-questions-asked service does not discriminate. 0800 Hungry delivers directly to homes and regularly provides food to over 155 different churches and agencies, including the police Safety Team, for people who they know need a hand up. Many of our 120 volunteers have special needs and, for them, 0800 Hungry means the world. All of our volunteers want to bless people and any challenge is felt as deeply by them as it is us.
0800 Hungry has no consistent stream of income, so we exist month to month. Your ongoing donations literally ensure our survival. It’s that simple, and that important to us. Your donation can make a big difference by directly helping us to continue serving the community where the need is greatest. Thank you and Bless you from Kerry & Nicky and all of the Team at 0800 Hungry.
