We provide the opportunity for the victim, the offender and their support people to meet to discuss the offence and share their views on what needs to be done to put things right. Restorative Justice gives victims a chance to have a voice in the justice system.
Restorative Justice has been proven to help reduce repeat offending. Recent research by the Ministry of Justice has shown that re-offending rates among offenders who have participated in RJ conferences is 12% lower than those who didn't participate. RJ also has high victim satisfaction rates, with 74% of victims surveyed stating they felt better after participating in an RJ conference.
