TechMate needs help to keep the service running to help people access and use digital technology for study, employment and social inclusion.
Canterbury
TechMate needs funding to sustain its charitable operations until the end of 2025. We are aiming to raise $50,000 to continue providing our current services.
We are all about empowering individuals with essential digital skills, striving to close the digital divide and ensure technology is accessible to everyone. Over the past year, we've made a significant impact, assisting over 1200 people with free lessons, laptop donations, internet access, repairs, support for students, job seekers and refugees.
Picture not being able to navigate online tasks easily – that's the reality for many, but our team is here to help. Offering personalised sessions at community centres, home visits for retirees and people with disabilities. Our collaboration with 80 organisations ensures our reach extends far and wide, bringing education, employment, and social connection to those in need.
But we can't do it alone; we're striving to raise $50,000 to continue our vital work. Every contribution counts, helping us transform lives through technology. If you believe in the power of tech to make a difference, please consider donating today. Thank you for your generosity and support!
TechMate is growing digital inclusion in Christchurch by helping people to access and use devices for study, employment and essential online services. We give free one-to-one lessons, repurposed donated laptops, free or at-cost laptop repairs and we will come to your home if you are housebound.
