The programme incorporates, a Christmas gift from their parent in prison, whānau/family camps, back to school (stationery and fees) support, counselling and access to tutoring, access to health providers, whānau/families shared meals and experiences.
Angel Tree connects a child who has a parent in prison with their parent and connects whole communities through love and support.
“I would like to thank you for the wonderful Christmas gifts my two young sons received this past Christmas via Angel Tree… It was special for them and for me, feeling I was supported in a society where ‘prison wives’ feel they don’t belong; and my husband is also so grateful for helping him remind his sons that he loves them and misses them. We were all incredibly touched by your kindness. Thank you so so much. May God bless you.” (Mother of Angel Tree Christmas recipient, 2017)
